Jake is an adventurer at heart, one who is willing to do whatever it takes to attain the perfect shot. He believes in order to achieve the greatest, one must have dedication and perseverance. Capturing a remarkable shot is dependent upon being in the right place at the right moment. These moments have become addictive experiences for Jake, ones that are always testing his story telling ability. Some of Jake’s images have appeared in publications including The Australian Geographic ,The Australian and Australian Photography Magazine. He has also had images included in the top photographs from the Epson Panoramic competition and the International Landscape Photographer of the Year awards. Through his photography, Jake hopes to inspire people to explore the world and experience the breathtaking moments he is lucky enough to capture. He hopes to spark people’s interest in the wilderness and to educate people on the increasing need to preserve the world we live in.
Growing up in the Blue Mountains to the west of Sydney has been a huge influencing factor on the direction Jakes work has taken. Being able to endlessly seek out incredible scenery, essentially hidden in our own backyard is something he has never taken for granted.
